Ireland scenic/historic areas during next summer?

I'd recommend Galway or Kilkenny, both beautiful and old. Kilkenny in particular has a beautiful castle with big grounds to explore. And both places have plenty of pubs to explore, as will almost any town in Ireland, so don't worry!
