Runny nose- Quick fix??

Ok i may have asked this already but my bff has a SUPER runny nose and its causing a really painful sore throat and her sinuses hurt. Bluntly, she just wants her danged snot to thicken up so it wont run down her throat! Any ideas? She tried the doctor but their no help at all.
