Cannot share photos?

When I try to share photos the othe rperson can only see a grey box or pixilated one. I tried unistalling and reinstalling the recent messenger and prior versions, What can I do to resovle this? And also when I try toview other webcams I get an connecting to server error, after I did all of the unistalling and reinstalling, what could I do about this?
